• General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU): Efficient use of Graphic Processing Units (GPUs), to perform computation in applications traditionally handled only by the CPUs.


• Chip MultiProcessors (CMPs): Efficient processor allocation and job scheduling algorithms; and their logic synthesis for CMPs with Network-on-Chip.


• Image processing: Implementation of image compression algorithms in hardware.


• Wide area fiber networks: Design methodology for DWDM computer networks.


• Optical switches: Algorithms and simulation methodology for optical switches.


• Processor allocation algorithms: Algorithms for distributed systems with mesh topology.
