Sahjendra Singh received ME degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1968 and Ph. D degree in electrical engineeriing from the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD 1972. Prior to coming to the UNLV in 1986, he did research at the Indian space Research Organization and the NASA Langley Research Center in the areas of space vehicle stability and control and robotics. He has done research as a summer faculty at the Edwards Air Force Base, Naval air warfare Center (PA and MD), Naval undersea warfare center, AFRL( Wright-Patterson AFB) and NASA Dryden flight research center in the areas of nonlinear systems, adaptive control, flight control and formation flying of UAV's, turbulence control, aeroelastic systems, bifurcation and synchrony of inferior neurons, and biologically- inspired control of undersea vehicles. Sahjendra Singh has published over three hundred journal and conference articles. He has served as an Associate Editor of the AIAA Journal of Guidance, Control and Dynamics.
